The colts took the lead as early as the second minute after a fine shot from Tom Tinsley was fumbled by the keeper into the path off the impressive Ross Morgan whom had the simplist task of a tap in from close range. The game stayed that away untill the break with both teams having opportunities to score during an entertaining first half. The game was only a couple of minutes into the re-start when Ross Morgan got his second of the match, he cut in on to his right peg and curled a beauty into the bottom left of the helpless keeper. Gresford youngsters began to show their true potential and started to play some attractive football. Ross Morgan looked a cert to grab his first senior hat -trick when he went through with only the keeper to beat, but for some reason he choose to square the ball to Dagnall who's first touch was poor and the chance went begging. Owen Williams replaced the injured Liam White and instantly made an impact with a well taken goal after some smart build up play by Phil Dagnall after 65mins. Corwen did manage a consolation goal with minutes remaining.
