With much needed points up for grabs Gresford started with an attacking line up and bossed the opening exchanges with 'liccle Phily' causing the defence of Brymbo some concern. After just 26mins Wyn Jones sent in a teasing free kick which was met well by Nathan Pugh to open the scoring. Brymbo with Keiron Jones in fine form for the first team, soon began to find their feet and replied a minute before half time. The second half was mostly bossed by the strong Brymbo side but some resolute defending from Robbie Gibson and Mike Gronow saw Gresford hold out for a worthy equal share of the spoils.
