Another home game at Darland with the grass getting longer by the week! Gresford started like a steam train and pressed forward and within two minutes Tomas Hughes was brought down in the box. He steeped up to calmly fire the ball to the right of the keeper and score his first senior goal from the penalty spot. With the midfield dominating they soon added to their early tally with Nathan Pugh (7mins) shooting from 25yards and have too much power for the keeper. Ioan Davies was a constant threat down the right again and he was rewarded with a goal on 15 mins. Only 3 minutes latter Thomas Hughes barged his way through on goal, only to be dragged down for the second time in the penalty area. Again he kept his head and showed a maturity to calmly slot home for his second of the match. A great fist half which was only blighted with a solo response from Brynteg on 20 mins, coming from an error when defending a corner kick. Half time 4 - 1 The second half solely belonged to the young Gresford team, apart from veteran Mark Evans who organised the back line throughout. With that the offensive game was impressive and Nathan pugh got his second of the game on 50 minutes following some neat play. Jamie Jones pushed up top to replace the injured Tomas Hughes, to be fair he took a battering from the Brynteg back line and on 55minutes he got his goal. Nathan Pugh comleted his first senior hatrick on 60 minutes and George Koumas fired in from close range after some unselfish work from Micky Latham on 85 mins.
