A big crowd at Clappers lane waited patiently for the travelling Carnarvon squad who had failed to make the kick off time. With the kick off delayed to 2.40pm it was the visitors who started the brightest. After the opening 15mins Gresford started to look like a team, and after some heavy challenges through the midfield, it was Jon Taylor (pictured)who had beat the off side trap to lob the ball over the advancing keeper to register a goal on 20mins. 5 mins later it was the same player who scored Gresford's second and at half time it looked comfortable. Almost immediately after the break, Carnarvon used their 2 subs and it paid off after some good work down their left and some weak defending. 2-1 Game on! Their comeback did not last so long as that man 'Jon Taylor' scoring this third on 55mins and deservingly nominated as man of the match. That third goal seemed to knock um dead, and Gresford bean to grow in confidence and play some neat football in front of 'Sammy'! Second half sub, Eddie Morris-Jones impressed and struck a great free kick into the bottom right hand side of the goal on 61mins, and Kevin Hope did the same 10mins from time. Great Performance by all.
