On a terrible playing surface Gresford adapted well and soon had the Glyn boys under pressure and Tomas Hughes latched onto a weak back pass to open the scoring for Gresford. Many a chance came within the first half, Nathan Pugh forcing the impressive Glyn keeper into a fine save and moments later Stefan Edwards through on goal and slotted home well but for the referee to blow for offside!! Half time 0-1 Only one minute of the second half gone and Ioan Davies stepped up to take a free kick just yards outside the box, he give the keeper no chance with a perfect shot into the bottom corner of the goal. The partnership of Tomas Hughes and George Koumas up front is blossoming and they connected to give George Koumas his goal a game. 0-3. The game looked to beyond reach for the home team, but to their credit they never gave up and scored to quick goals, one from long range and an own goal by Paul Mitchell! Game on with 10mins to play, But Gresford responded very well and flew into an extra gear and got their fourth from an o.g then the best of the game from villain turned hero Paul Mitchell's thunderbolt.
