Played at Clappers, this should of been a game that saw the boys prepare well for the Welsh youth cup. Unfortunately lots of last minute changes to the squad made it very difficult to play the attractive football they are used to. It took the whole of the first half to adjust to so many new faces, and lacked any clear cut chances. Half time 0-0 Second half started in the same fashion but on 57miins Pat Laughlin stole the ball from the Gresford midfield and stoked a lovely through ball for his team mate to open the scoring. 0-1. Gresford did start to pile on the pressure and deservedly brought the score level again with a short corner that was met by Haggis on the edge of the box.1-1 That is how the scorline remained and can only be said 'two points lost in the push for promotion'
