Gresford chose to defend a strong wind for the first 45mins and worked hard to keep the chances to the minimum for the opposition. They kept to the task well and could of even found themselves 2-0 up before half time, if for better finishing.

Gresford's plan to change formation and play 3 up front paid off straight from the re start and on 46mins George Koumas (pictured) got on the end of a Stefan Edwards cross. Then with Gresford camped in Overton's half for long periods it wasn't going to take long for their tally to double and on 52mins Tomas Hughes did just that with a wind assisted shot. 2 - 0 The game was all one now and substitute Michael Latham met the ball on the half volley and scored Gresfor'd third and best goal.
