The Gresford line up saw up a number of changes being made from the previous weeks success at Glantraeth due to the following days Welsh Youth Cup Semi Final. These saw Steve Halliwell, Josh Page, Mike Gronnow, Owen Roberts & Dave Lloyd making the starting line up with Mike Latham, George Koumas & our old timer Ady Roberts as substitutes. The game started as expected at a fast pace with Llandudno obviously looking to maintain there challenge on a top 3 spot. On 15 minutes Joe Morgan of Llanduduno was booked for retaliating after a tackle by Phil Jones and during the aftermath Steve Halliwell of Gresford was also booked for retaliation. Gresford scored through Craig Williams in the 20th minute and Llandudno were then reduced to 10 men in 25th minute when Morgan was sent off for a second bookable offence. Despite this setback Llandudno settled well and were unfortunate not to equalise before the half time break. The second half started at a similar pace and saw Llandudno equalise through Mike Lundstrom on 50 minutes however Gresford fought back and following a delicate through ball from Josh Page, Craig Williams scored his second goal of the day on 55 minutes which saw the home team taking all 3 points despite a number of efforts from Llandudno in the hope of securing at least a point from the game.
