FIRST TEAM MATCH REPORT
Llandudno Town 4 Gresford Athletic 1 Saturday 19th. August 2006
Early pressure from Llandudno down the Gresford right flank and a mistake from the Gresford defence led to Llandudno taking an early lead through Lee Thomas. Gresford were level ten minutes later when Matt Davies powered home an unstoppable header from a Phil Jones corner. Llandudno were ahead again within two minutes when Andy Roberts scored with a cross shot. Llandudno were now well on top and added a third when Mike Lunstorm strolled through the Gresford defence to slot home. A very poor decision then gave Llandudno the chance to add to their lead from the penalty spot, Thomas scoring his second of the game. Gresford were a completely different team in the second half and had chance to reduce the deficit with both Jon Taylor and Owen Roberts wasting good chances.
