HALF TIME GRESFORD ATHLETIC 1 LLANFAIR PG 0
Gresford started the half looking to build on their lead and with Shaun and Alan Williams bossing the midfield and the ever willing Craig Williams looking lively the second goal looked ominous. Llanfair had other ideas and gradually started to influence the game. Gresford were playing some nice football without creating a lot and the well organised PG defence caught them off side far to often. Llanfair thought they had grabbed an equaliser but the referee said the ball had not crossed the line. Both sides were now creating chances with the away team converting one of theirs on seventy eight minutes when Richard Owen fired low and hard passed Gareth Rowland in the Gresford goal. Three minutes later owen scored his second after slack defending in the Gresford defence gifted him the chance. Gresford pushed hard for an equaliser but the nearest they came was from a Shaun Williams shot after good work by Chris Newman and Danny Purdie.
