After an even first ten minutes Gresford thought they had taken the lead after a good move down the left but the goal was ruled out for offside. Mynydd Isa were the better side during the first half and were only prevented from taken the lead by great goalkeeping from Gareth Rowland. A Mike Gronnow through ball created the first chance for Gresford in the second half but Josh Page's shot was blocked. Rowland then saved brilliantly from a Neil Wynne header as Isa pushed for the opening goal. On fifty five minutes Gresford took the lead, a corner on the right taken by Phil Jones found Craig Williams at the far post and he volleyed home. A great cross by Danny Brown almost created a second for the home side but nobody was on hand to capitalise on a great chance. Anthony Williams then found himself unmarked at the far post to head home the equaliser.Five minutes later Williams made a good run into the Mynydd Isa penalty area before being fouled. With Isa pushing forward for the equaliser Nathan Pugh won the ball outside the Gresford area and found Craig Williams with a good ball leaving Williams one on one with Isa keeper Dave Walsh and although Walsh got his hand to Williams shot the ball ended up in the back of the net to seal a good win for Gresford
