Gresford were quick off the mark as they looked to improve upon last seasons poor start to the season and took the lead on ten minutes with a well worked goal involving Paul Chaloner which resulted in Kevin Hope cooly slotting home. The next twenty minutes was very scrappy with the the only incident being an elbow to Matt Davies head which the regferee chose to ignor. Queens Park created their first chance of the game after fory four minutes but the effort went wide. Queens Park started the second half pressing for an equaliser bu it was Gresford who almost scored through Craig Williams. Queens Park then had a player red carded for a stupid kick at Shaun Williams. Kevin Hope should have doubled his tally on sixty five minutes but his cross shot went wide of the far post. Queens Park then forced Gareth Rowland in the home goal to tip away a goalbound shot, his first save of the game. Owen Roberts then forced the Queens Park keeper into a fine save as gresford began to get on top. Queens Park then had another player sent off after a late tackle. Gresford then introduced three teenagers for their Cymru alliance debuts and one of them, Stefan Edwards almost score with a left shot that hit the side netting. Craig Williams sealed Gresford's first win of the season with a great dipping shot over the keeper for a well deservred but hard earned three points.
