Kevin Hope (Defender)
Previously with Shrewsbury Town and Chester City , A versatile squad member who is equally at home in dences as he is in midfield.
Max Peate (Defender)
Former Goodison junior Max has been elevated to Club Captain which illustrates best of all the high esteem in which he is held. Was voted this years Young Player of the Year.
Steve Halliwell. (Defender)
A no nonsense defender who has graduated through the village junior and Reserves ranks. A passionate competitor if there ever was one.
Graeme Sutcliffe (Defender)
A new addition to the first team squad. Graeme was Player of the Year for the Reserves last time out and he deserves this promotion to the first XI squad.
Danny Brown (Defender)
Former Acefair Youth player who won honours galore at junior level.. Quick and alert fullback who loves to go forward. A very popular squad member.
Danny Purdie (Midfield)
Danny has played most of his soccer at the club in attack but has made a successful switch to midfield of late. Was at Old Trafford as a junior and is a real thoroughbred.
Alan Williams (Midfield)
Vastly experienced midfielder who has played Welsh Premier league football with Caersws and Newi Cefn Druids. Alan is also assistant manager at the Club.
Stef Edwards (Midfield )
Another talented teenager who joined the club last season who has proved what a tricky flanker he can be. Looked sheer class in the Welsh Youth Cup last season.
Simon Smith (Midfield)
A new addition to the club and he has been quick to make an impression. Simon joins us from Wrexham FC where he was on junior terms since 2004. Is equally at home playing at fullback.
Josh Page (Midfield)
Another youth team player who progressed through the Village youth and junior ranks. A very stylish player and an exceptional golfer.
Jon Taylor (Forward)
Established striker with the club. Last years leading goalscorer in the successful Welsh youth cup campaign and determined to have another good season.
Nathan Pugh (Midfield)
Tall and lean midfielder who has a great work ethic and he is able to move forward with pace. Much is expected of Nathan who is maturing like a fine wine.
Tim Steele (Forward)
A much travelled ‘Toffee'. An experienced campaigner who has played football at the very highest level and has joined Gresford via LEX XI.
Ian Mathias (Forward)
Ian is in his second spell at the club following a brief flirtation at Queens Park and Castell Alun. Ian scored a hat-trick on his debut when he first joined us.
Owen Roberts (Forward)
Owen was leading scorer for the Reserves last season and he hopes to break into the
1 st XI this forthcoming season. A tricky player who has had a fine pre-season campaign. |
