Gresford took the lead in the fourth minute through Jon Taylor. Tomos Jones nearly equalizing on 12 minutes heading just wide from a corner kick. Five minutes later Gresford's Craig Williams was put in a one on one situation with Boded goalie Gareth OJ Roberts who produced an excellent save. Daniel Purdie put Gresford 2 - 0 up after 27 minutes with a deflected shot. Andrew Roberts reduced the deficit on the stroke of half time.

Gresford keeper Mike Price was called into action early in the second half, making a fine save at the foot of the post. Craig Williams scored Gresford's third from six yards. Danny Purdie added a fourth on 81 minutes to earn a semi-final place
