| Games against teams at the wrong end of the league have always been a problem to Gresford and at the start of today's game it was hard to judge which team was at the bottom. The first fifteen minutes were even with Gareth Rowland in the home goal being the busiest of the two keepers. |

 |
The goals started to flow in the twenty first minute when Phil Jones drove home from twenty yards after good build up play between Matt Williams and Simon Holloway, Craig Williams added the second five minutes later after Danny Purdie had headed down a Wyn Jones centre. A superb ball by man of the match Carl Andrews laid on the third for Williams who scored easily
Half Time: Gresford Athletic 3 Cemaes Bay 0 |
| The fourth goal of the game went to Cemaes with a bit of assistance from the match officials who failed to see Leighton Williams score with his hand at the far post. Jon Ratcliffe then scored two in seven minutes to put Gresford five one up. The first a twenty yard shot that was deflected over the keeper and the second a side foot home via a post from a Phil Jones corner. Cemaes to their credit kept having a go and scored a second when Sion Edwards picked up a loose ball and drove home on sixty five miutes |

MOM CARL ANDREWS |
Back came Gresford to create and waste few chances before Danny Purdie created a chance that Simon Holloway took and then Holloway did the same for Purdie who scored at the far post. In between the two goals Mike Gronnow had to clear a Cemaes shot off the line. Another Purdie inspired move created a eighth for Gresford as Craig Williams completed his hat-trick. Cemaes then added their third through Chris Roberts as time ran out to give a most unusual Cymru Alliance result |
