Last game of the season and the winner sure to be league runners up. Both sides started slowly and it took twenty minutes for the first attempt at goal, unfortunately for Gresford it also produced the first goal of the game as Ady Graves rose at the far post to head home an inviting cross. Gresford responded with a Hugh Jones freekick which was deflected off an Airbus defender and just wide of the post. Airbus then nearly doubled their lead when another good cross from the left was headed towards the Gresford goal but this time Adam Taylor saved. Airbus doubled their lead against an out of sorts Gresford defence , a freekick was headed on for Liam Farr to score. Taylor then had to be at his best to halt another Airbus attack, blocking a goal bound shot with his feet. Gresford almost reduced the deficit on the stoke of halftime, Matt Davies forcing the Airbus keeper into action with a header from a Wyn Jones attack.

Gresford started the second half looking a much better side and took the game to Airbus from the off. Wyn Jones found Matt Davies and his header only needed a touch to produce a goal. Gresford were throwing everything at Airbus to try and get back into a game they needed at least a draw from This left them vulnerable at the back and only the quickness of Taylor off his line prevented Airbus increasing their lead as he forced them to fire over the bar. Gresford finally got the goal they deserved after a good run by Hugh Jones resulted in a penalty as he was brought down in the penalty area. Graham Sutcliffe converting. A fine move from Gresford involving Wyn Jones, Jason Gray, Paul Chaloner and Paul Jones resulted in the later firing narrowly over the bar. Wyn Jones and Paul Chaloner then created a chance that the Airbus keeper fumbled but nobody was on hand to capitalise. With Gresford pushing forward for an equaliser Airbus hit them on the counter attack and poor defending saw Gresford concede a third goal and give Airbus the runners up spot in the league.
