Our first real top of the table clash at home to Overton with some tough games to come.
It was a nervous start, with both sides trying to get the measure of the opposition, Overton started with one man up front and made it clear from the off that they were going to try and take advantage of their height. It was a route one approach with the ball being loaded forward with us facing a difficult test facing into the sun.

You wouldn't’t have thought Chal had won the toss in dubious fashion.
Chance were few and far between and despite a succession of corners we only managed to force one opening with their keeper forcing the ball wide as Braody attempted to guide the ball into the far corner.

Then following a cheeky back heel from Robbie, the Space opened up for Wynn to break free in the box a calmly slot home to ease the early jitters. With the pressure off we finished the half strongly and should have killed the game off just before the interval, however, this wasn't’t the case and we had to call on Roly to keep things at 1 – 0, coming out quickly to head clear.

The feeling in the dressing room was that if we got at them from the re-start the game was ours for the taking.
Up stepped Johnny Taylor, with the 2nd half only minutes old, he raced clear to finish coolly and make it 2 – 0. It didn't’t stop there and with the opposition trying to get a foot hold in the game the space was opening up. When Johnny sprung the offside trap he hit the bye line before pulling the ball back for Broady to tap home whilst Overton were left appealing that the ball had already gone out. Goal awarded, 3 – 0.

We continued to hold tight at the back and could have wrapped things up before Johnny broke clear again, and with their goalkeeper treading water made it 4 – 0.
Unfortunately, we didn't’t get the clean sheet we deserved allowing the opposition a solitary consolation goal,
