At home again with the return of several key players so room for optimism.

Experimenting with a 4-3-3 formation we started quickly not allowing Rhos any time to settle. The early pressure soon paid off when Josh Page found space in the box and slotted the ball home. With the opposition clearly rattled following a defensive mix up that left the away side appealing for offside the referee was left with no choice but to send a man off for foul and abusive language. As we all know it can be difficult to play against 10 men but with credit to the players we killed the game off before half time with Matt Davies in fine scoring form. Firstly, following in on the keeper to tap home from close range and then again showing good predatory instincts to pop up at the far post to ensure Chals corner resulted in a goal.

The 2 nd half didn't get going as we didn't get a grip on the game and it was played out in a very scrappy fashion.

It was time for a change and with the second half only ten minutes old we replaced the injured Haggis with Luke and then shortly after the Peate brothers were paired together at the heart of the defence with Chal yet again being wrapped in cotton wool.

We continued to have the lion share of the game without creating any real chances and with about 25 minutes left Gaz Pugh replace Broadie up front to give us an injection of pace. This seemed to open the game up again and when we found some space down the left flank and a good cross to the far post was converted by the head of Owen.

In the final minutes a disappointing lack of concentration let Rhos sneak a consolation goal.
