MATCH REPORT
Rhos caused a bit of panic in the early stages and forced a few corners bur with the Peate brothers in fine form at the heart of the Gresford defence they gradually got on top and took the lead when a great cross from Richie Carr was headed passed his own keeper by a Rhos defender. With ten minutes they were two up, Hugh Jones winning the ball and delivering a cross that Matt Davies headed home at the far post. Gresford then created and wasted a few chances. Rhos tried to get back into the game and showed their spirit with a couple of dangerous attacks one of which almost created a goal but Luke Peate was on hand to clear off the line. Gresford then forced a few corners which resulted in Hugh Jones firing wide and Owen Roberts heading over the bar.

At the start of the second half a poor header by Richie Carr almost prevented Rhos with a goal before a Gaz Pugh-Jones corner was headed wide by Matt Davies. Wyn Jones's persistent on the edge of the Rhos penalty area was rewarded when he shot into the far corner to put Gresford three up. Ady Roberts and assistant Sam Ainge then used two of their substitutes and one of them, Josh Page almost scored but his shot was comfortably saved. Luke Peate then made a great tackle to prevent Rhos reducing the deficit after a poor back pass from Dave Lloyd. Substitute Jason Gray then made a great run down the left and fed Josh Page whose shot was kicked off the line by the over worked Rhos keeper.
