The intrepid reporter didnEt make the short trip to Ruthin and just as well by all accounts because Ady's summing up can be recorded on a back of a postage stamp. Garbage, just Garbage is the bosses articulate reflection on the game. This is only the third game I have missed in four years but it is apparent I did not exactly miss a classic, in fact, Ady did admit to it being our worst performance of the season and we could not have hit the proverbial pigs arse with a banjo. Granted we did not have a full squad to select from but with Broady and little Andy Hughes leading our attack I was optimistic that we could have taken maximum points from the team who are currently staring Division Two in the face. It was a disjointed performance by all accounts and only young Luke Peate came through with flying colours back playing in the heart of the defence where he played all of his youth soccer and his performance earned him man of the match award. Ruthin against the run of play took the lead through Iwan Hughes and although we had loads of chances not only to draw level but to have also won the match so it was somewhat of a travesty when Hughes bagged his second of the match to kill off any hopes of a comeback.

The TWA Tea award went to the whole team for playing like fanny’s.
